Helpful Hints

Follow these helpful hints to make probing easier and noise free.

Low-inductance Grounding

Placing a ground pl ane on top of a package be ing probed c an

minimize ground lead length and inductance. See Figure 7.

Figure 7: Low-inductance grounding

Attach a small piece of copper clad on top of the package and

connect it to the package ground connection. Use the low-inductance

ground lead provided with the P7240 to keep the ground lead length

as short as possible.
